Dispatcher - Waste & Recycling Operations

Dispatcher Position Overview

• Coordinate and dispatch drivers for residential, commercial, and special pickups
• Monitor routes using GPS and dispatch software to ensure efficiency
• Respond quickly to missed pickups, breakdowns, and service changes
• Communicate with drivers via phone and radio to keep operations running smoothly
• Work closely with customer service to resolve requests and concerns
• Maintain accurate records for routes, services, and daily dispatch activity
• Support overall daily operations and communicate updates to supervisors

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Dispatch/logistics experience preferred
• Basic computer and dispatch system knowledge
